I have none of these bears in stock at the  moment, though I make them quite often as special orders, just one or two at a time.   Most of the bears cost between $8 and $12, depending on whether there are clothes  or accessories.  The smallest is $4.  See Things for sale for details.

Frances Armstrong: Toys in Miniature
Bears
The first bears I made were fuzzy stuffed bears, but that was 25 years ago and now the market is well supplied with these.  So I concentrate on smaller wooden bears.  Most of them can  be used as toys in a 1/12 scale toyshop or nursery, but I also make bears that are characters rather than toys.

Most are under half an inch high.  They should appear at their actual height on the screen.  Some have movable limbs and some are in fixed postures.
Some bears that I didn't have time to photograph: athletic bears wearing leotards or running shorts, bears at the beach, playing tennis or skating; doctor and nurse bears, artist bears, a farmer and his wife . . .
A tiny bear about 1/4 inch high, of cherry.
Panda
Bear in cherry wood with a basket of flowers. $10.
Some placed in vignettes, to be used as centrepieces on a 1/12 scale table.  They can also fit into matchbox or watchcase containers, and into hollow books.  The most elaborate scene I've made was a wedding of two bears complete with bridesmaids, clergyman, photographer and guests.  (Often a small bear would be watching from the branch of a tree: that would represent me, when as a child I lived next door to a church.)
There are friendly bears holding hands or kissing, and of course teddy bear picnics everywhere.
A teacher and three pupil bears are in this classroom.  The   two in the front row are still at the "A is for apple" stage, but the little bear in yellow is an advanced student who is enjoying a book about Thomas the Tank Engine..
You can probably identify them.  Some are dressed for a fancy dress party. Sherlock Holmes is hiding behind his magnifying glass.
In the middle is the Teddy Bearoplane, adapted from a book of that name published in 1913 which belonged to my father.

Not shown are bears in wheelchairs or electric scooters.  I have made bears in bed, even with a drip in their arms.
A once-only Paddington Bear, made on request, and much larger than the wooden bears--about 3 inches high standing.
