Most the bears I've made are on the next page |
I've been making miniatures as long as I can remember, and selling what I make for more than 25 years. Since I'm constantly coming up with new ideas, I never have everything in stock, and any catalogues I offered were full of things marked "Not available." Now I'm taking a different approach, and I'm offering first a survey of the miniatures I have made over the last 25 years. If I have any of these available for sale, I will mark them "AVAILABLE," and you can find out more on the page Things for Sale.
If something is pictured here, it's because I enjoyed making it, and usually I would consider making another one. So if you see anything that specially attracts you, e-mail me and we can talk about possibilities. . |

Frances Armstrong: Toys in Miniature |
These are in 1/12 scale unless otherwise indicated, suitable for children three or four inches tall. Usually the photos show them at life size. I don't usually keep these next items in stock, but will make them upon special request. |
Ark, which I make in sizes from 1/4 inch long to 1.5 inches long. The roof is hinged, and animals are provided with a gangway to get on board.
I carve my own animals, in various sizes and various types of wood. |
Bears that can climb up the strings they are hanging on. Carved out of various woods. A working toy, though human fingers are a bit clumsy when they try to make the bears move . |
Soldiers, wooden, 3/8 inch or 3/16 inches high. Two kinds of uniform. |
This little village was very popular, and I keep on meaning to make some again. The houses are in various woods, and they fit on a board inlaid with a similar woods. This, like the ark, is not a miniature of an existing toy, but my own interpretation of a miniature village.
Check also the do-it-yourself miniature houses in my Projects section, and also the model train layouts. |
